Asha Basha Duniani earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) from North Carolina A&T State University in May 2020, with a focus in Professional Theater. She also studied Theater at
Tri-Cities Visual & Performing Arts magnet program in High School. Ms. Duniani is the child of a Professional Lighting Gaffer/ Photographer and Costumer, a native of Pasadena, California and a current resident of Atlanta, Georgia. She has been around the entertainment industry most of her life.
Asha Basha is an actress, dancer, and painter. She accredits her debut professional production to Synchronicity Theater’s Eclipsed in 2016. Receiving the Suzi Bass Award for best ensemble in her role of The Girl.
Duniani recently closed The Huntington Theatre's Production of 'Sojourners' as Moxie. This production kickstarted The Huntington's two year UFOT family cycle production series written by Mfoniso Udofia.
In 2019 she ensembled The NC Black Repertory Company's production of Jelly's Last Jam, at the National Black Theater Festival. This production was her debut tap performance under the direction of Jackie Alexander & Dewitt Fleming Jr.
She's also toured with the North Carolina Touring Theater's original production of Mad At Miles: A Black Woman's Guide to Truth, from 2018-2020.
Asha thoroughly enjoys performing and believes in making the world uncomfortable with her art, in order to evoke change.
She lives by Stanislavski’s quote "Love the Art and Not yourself in the Art."
